Project Goal
Build a digital product that delivers preventive healthcare insights and personalized mental wellness recommendations through assessments and diagnostics, aiming to reach a wider audience via an automated and scalable online system.
The Challenge
Before this initiative, health assessments were manual and personalized at small scale. The client wanted to transition to a digital model that could accommodate a large, diverse user base—without compromising quality, privacy, or personalization.
The Solution
We created a unified web and mobile platform powered by Harper’s proprietary health algorithm. The product combines structured questionnaires, cognitive games, and diagnostic modules like saliva-based testing, to offer tailored recommendations in real-time.
Key Features
Multi-Layered Assessment Flow
Includes mental wellbeing surveys, cognitive tests, lifestyle quizzes, and biometric inputs (e.g., saliva tests)Personalized Recommendations
Based on user personality, lifestyle, and test results—ranging from sleep tips to mental health tools and product suggestionsDoctor Directory & Booking
Users can directly consult behavioral health experts with appointment scheduling (video or in-office)Health Dashboard
Tracks progress, health scores, test history, and links to wearablesGamified UX
Included interactive games to assess focus, mood, and burnout using digital cognitive tools
Design Process
Initial Research & Conversations
Deep discovery calls with stakeholders to define user personas, use cases, and compliance needs (KYC, privacy, medical disclaimers)Wireframes & User Flow Mapping
Created over 100+ wireframes to map detailed onboarding, assessment, dashboard, and consultation flows
View PrototypeVisual Design
Developed 3 different design systems and moodboards. Final UI matched client’s updated brand colors after investment roundCompetitive Analysis
Benchmarked against platforms like Truity, High5Test, and YourDost to balance medical rigor with accessibility
Personas Defined
James – A high-earning banking professional, unaware of his declining health, busy, skeptical of tech
Fatima – A VP, health-conscious but overworked, seeking stress management tools to balance work-life demands
These personas helped shape both the onboarding language and feature prioritization (e.g., privacy reassurance, ease of use, fast insights).
Outcomes & Progress
Wireframes approved without revision
Brand re-alignment after initial investment round (removed red tones, updated typography and color palette)
Product MVP developed across Web + Mobile
Stakeholder confidence boosted, resulting in further scope for advanced features like genetic testing integration
Reflections
Harper became one of my proudest solo-led projects. From research to visual handoff, I owned the design lifecycle—balancing medical sensitivity, user trust, and complex UX logic in a product designed to change lives.
